VT Halter gets FMS award for FMC

VT Halter Marine, Inc, Pascagoula, Miss., is being awarded a $41,534,132 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-06-C-2212) for long lead-time materials for command and control systems of three Fast-Missile Crafts (FMC) for the Egyptian Navy under the Foreign Military Sales Program (FMS).

The modification supports the Phase II detail design and construction expected to be awarded in FY 2008. It covers all hardware, software, licensing, design engineering, production engineering, manufacturing, test engineering, technical documentation, and program management through factory acceptance testing and shipyard delivery of the command and control systems.

Work will be performed in Baltimore, Md. (40.5 percent); Annapolis, Md. (40.5 percent); Manassas, Va. (17 percent); Pascagoula, Miss. (2 percent), and is expected to be completed by June 2008.

Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
