Kramek joins Armada Companies

Armada Companies, LLC of California says that Admiral Robert E. Kramek USCG (ret.) is joining it as Chairman of the Advisory Committee.

Armada describes itself as a "U.S. based, woman-owned marine services provider offering customized ship management, maritime staffing, vessel crewing, marine engineering and project management solutions to maritime and related industries worldwide."

Admiral Kramek retired as President and Chief Operating Officer of American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) in December, 2006.

Admiral Kramek joined ABS in 1998, after serving as Commandant of the United States Coast Guard, from which he retired as a Four Star Admiral.

He graduated with honors from the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Academy with a B.S. in engineering in 1961 and attended postgraduate schools at the University of Michigan, Johns Hopkins University and the University of Alaska. He holds Master of Science Degrees in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Management.

He is current President of SNAME

Admiral Kramek will be a member of Armada's Executive Management Team providing support on technical, operational and business development matters.
