APRIL 3, 2014 — Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has named Jeanne Usher managing director of its New Malden, U.K., headquartered Sperry Marine business unit, She succeeds Alan Dix, who recently retired following a 33 year career with the company.
In her new position, Ms. Usher will have responsibility for all Sperry Marine's commercial and defense programs and products worldwide.
Sperry Marine operates in more than 15 countries and is a leading provider of navigation solutions, including radars, compass systems, steering, speedlogs, and integrated bridge and control systems.
Ms. Usher joined Northrop Grumman in 1981 and has held a number of leadership positions in strategy, market development, supply chain and program management. Most recently, she served as deputy managing director for Sperry Marine.
Ms. Usher received a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the University of Wisconsin. She has also completed the general management program at Harvard University and the executive marketing strategy program at the University of Maryland.
