Trinity Marine Products recently launched Global Long Beach, the first of four 10,000 barrel ocean going barges ordered by Global Marine Transport, an affiliate of Maxum Petroleum, Inc., Greenwich, Ct.
All four are ABS ocean going barges, U.S. flagged, OPA 90-compliant, double hull units measuring 190 ft x 45 ft x 15 ft.
Equipped with a 65 ft Hydrapro hose handling crane, each barge has eight cargo tanks served by two Blackmer 8 inch cargo pumps and an offloading capacity of approximately 2,800 bph.
The barges have Markey capstans for offshore mooring
All four barges will be deployed on the U.S. West Coast from Seattle to Los Angeles supplying distillate marine gasoil and marine lubricants. When all four are delivered, the total number of barges owned by Global Marine Transport and chartered to Maxum Petroleum will be ten, all deployed from Seattle to Los Angeles.
