JANUARY 29, 2013 — Union, N.J., headquartered Mack Boring & Parts Co. has is to distribute commercial marine diesel engines from Austria's Steyr Motors on the East Coast, including Canada and the Caribbean.

Mack Boring has a strong presence in the market, providing engine sales, parts warehousing and distribution, engine rebuilding, service, technical support and training for several leading brand diesel engines. The existing Steyr Motors dealer network will continue to serve the market with engine sales and service.

Steyr's 6-cylinder diesel engines are commercially rated from 110 to 285 HP and are EPA Tier 3 commercial marine compliant. With a reputation as a lightweight, compact, high performance engine, Steyr engines are well suited for patrol boats, water taxis, supply boats and other utility applications. The engines are SOLAS certified for lifeboat installation.
