JULY 16, 2012 — Kleven Maritime has signed a contract with Remøy Shipping for the construction of an LNG-fueled platform supply vessel. The contract has a value of about NOK 400 million for Kleven Maritime and includes contains an option for a second vessel.

The vessel will be built to Wärtsilä Ship Design's VS 4412 DF PSV design and will be 92 meters long and 20 meters wide.

The vessel will be delivered from the shipyard in the third quarter of 2014 will then go directly to work for Statoil under a long term contract with Remøy Shipping. Statoil recently announced a clutch of PSV contracts for the Norwegian shelf that will see seven new PSVs contracted. The Remøy Shipping award means that three of these will be built by Kleven, which previously secured contracts for two newbuilds for Atlantic Offshore.

Kleven Maritime now has 14 vessels on its order book, with a total value of about NOK 6.7 billion.
