TRACKING
Sweden's All Set Tracking offers ALLTrack, a wireless tracking system for containers. The technology originates from Ericsson where it was developed 1999-2001. In Feb. 2002, it was acquired by All Set Marine, a leading container equipment supplier. The ALLTrack tag technology features:
reading range: 30 m up to 100 m
battery lifetime: 10 years, 8 years warranty.
global available radio communication, no licensing required (ISM band: 2,4 GHz).
dynamic, read/write memory stores order data such as B/L number and seal number.
The static container number is stored in a one-time programmable memory.
The ALLTrack technology can automatically detect when a container door is opened. The tag is connected with alarm sensors that monitor the door switch, humidity, explosives etc. The tag can be integrated with an existing reefer cable modem to read and set reefer temperature automatically. ALLTrack is an attractive solution to regulatory requirements for monitoring of container integrity. ALLTrack says its Tag-Sensor would replace disposal electronic seals, which, it maintains, "long-term are much more expensive than the ALLTrack permanent solution."

A unique seal number is electronically hard-coded into the seal's databank and it has a bar coded label with a human readable seal number It has a memory storage of up to 1,000 bits of information and a weather and impact-resistant plastic housing. Bolt cutters are required to remove the seal
DIESEL ELECTRIC SUBMARINE SERVICES
Kokes Marine Technologies, LLC is offering the use of the U.S. Corsair RS-1 and U.S. Constellation RS-2. The two 48 ft, Diesel / Electric Submarines are based on the previous success of the RS Series Design. The RS Submarine fleet is available for worldwide charter to the offshore marine industry, research centers and qualified naval forces located in the U.S. and abroad. The RS Submarine is an ideal platform for covert naval and security operations. ASW and prototype system testing can be efficiently performed for a fraction of the cost normally allocated to such tasks. The RS Submarine has 8000 kg of reserve buoyancy and therefore is capable of carrying a myriad of bolt-on or internal ancillary equipment. Hydraulics as well as various voltage supplies and computer interface protocols are available for a broad range of applications. The submarines are deployed directly from the pier with up to six personnel onboard and arrive at the dive site under independent power. Operations are conducted without the need of support ships, increasing covertness while reducing both cost and delays associated with deployment and retrieval protocols. The RS series submarines are capable of navigating over 400 nautical miles either on the surface or submerged in the snorkel mode, and is commanded by experienced retired U.S. Navy submariners.
