VT Halter gets $8.9 million PSV contract

VT Halter Marine Inc. has signed a contract worth $8.9 million with the Otto Candies LLC associated Candies Shipbuilders LLC. It covers fabrication to Candies Shipbuilders specifications of the hull with deckhouses of a 285 ft platform supply vessel

The vessel will be delivered after completion of module fabrication, assembly and placement of certain owner furnished equipment. Candies Shipbuilders will accept delivery at VT Halter Marine's operation in Moss Point, Miss., and arrange for the vessel to be towed to its Houma, Louisiana shipyard (the former Houma Marine Fabricators) for final outfitting. Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for January 2010.
