March 14, 2008 ASA Board appoints new membersCynthia Brown, President of the American Shipbuilding Association (ASA), announced today that the Board of Directors of the ASA has appointed two Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding executives as new members of the Board. They are Matthew J. Mulherin, sector vice president and general manager of Newport News, and Irwin F. Edenzon, sector vice president and general manager for the Gulf Coast. The appointments of Mulherin and Edenzon to these key positions was announced earlier this month (see earlier story). American Shipbuilding Association members include the nation's six largest shipyards and 87 companies engaged in the manufacture of ship systems and components.
