June 3, 2008 Yangzijiang Shipbuilding adds to order bookChina's Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (Holdings) Ltd. continues to add to its already bulging order book. The Singapore-listed company says in a stock exchange announcement that in April and May it secured shipbuilding contracts for another twelve vessels with an aggregate contract value of US$514.39 million.
Yangzijiang Shipbuilding says that between January and May this year it delivered nine ships totaling 140, 479 compensated gt and worth $307.7 million. Its total order book now stands at 163 ships aggregating over 3 million cgt and worth more than $7.18 billion.
