February 6, 2008 Seadrill ups stakes in Odfjell Invest and ScorpionJohn Fredriksen's Seadrill has upped its stakes in both Odfjell Invest ASA and Scorpion Offshore. Today it disclosed the purchase of 2,919,000 shares in Odfjell Invest ASA at an average price of NOK19.73. Following these transactions Seadrill controls 9,752,000 shares, corresponding to 7.05 percent of the outstanding shares in Odfjell Invest ASA. Separately, Seadrill also disclosed the purchase of 282,800 shares in Scorpion Offshore Ltd. at an average price of NOK55.96. Following these transactions Seadrill controls 10,968,200 shares, corresponding to 20.48 percent of the outstanding shares in Scorpion Offshore Ltd.
