September 19, 2007 RO/RO equipment order for MacGregorMacGregor--a unit of the Cargotec Corporation-- has received a contract from Hyundai Mipo, Korea, to supply RO/RO equipment for 10 RO/RO vessels for Italian owner Grimaldi. The contract includes design and fabrication of the equipment, which will be delivered between 2009 and 2011. The contract exceeds Euros 20 million. Each ship set comprises: one cylinder-operated straight stern ramp, one bulkhead door on the tank top deck, one side-hinged ramp cover in two sections, one bulkhead door on the weather deck, one hoistable ramp between main and upper deck, two pilot/bunker doors and 18 hoistable cardecks/access ramps on two levels, plus two integrated access ramps on the upper car deck level. The total weight of the RO/RO equipment is about 700 tonnes per ship set.
