May 11, 2007 Hyundai Heavy Industries reports $978 million containership order Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., the world's largest shipbuilder, said today that it has won a 905 billion won ($978 million) order to build eight containerships. The deal from a Marshall Islands registerd shipowner calls on Hyundai Heavy to deliver the vessels by November 2010, the shipbuilder said. Hyundai Heavy has received $4.4 billion in new orders this year, more than half of its full-year target of $8.6 billion. |
