Ship repairer opens Alameda office
Vigor Marine LLC, has hired two San Francisco Ship Repair veterans and opened an office in Alameda in the Bay area to conduct ship repair operations for its current and future California customer base.
Vigor Marine is a unit of the Vigor Industrial family of companies, which operates the Swan Island ship repair yard in Portland, Oregon through Cascade General.
Vigor Marine already operates out of locations in Portland, and the Puget Sound, and sends riding crews and remote deployment teams across the globe.
"Vigor Marine is proud to open a local office for our marine repair services in the Bay Area," said Frank Foti, President and CEO of Vigor Industrial, "This move will help us meet the needs of our current and future California-based customers, as well any vessels that may be transiting through the region."
Steve Lambert has been appointed General Manager of Vigor Marine's Bay Area operations.
Lambert served for 29 years with BAE-SF and its prior owners, and was the Director of Operations for 10 years.
Joel Dancer, also formerly of BAE-SF, will join Lambert's team as Senior Project Manager.
He comes to Vigor Marine with over 28 years of marine project management experience.
Vigor Marine says it will be "immediately available to perform all forms of marine repair service to vessels located in and transiting through the Bay area.
