Austal bags multiple ferry order
According to a stock exchange announcement, Austal has booked "an unconditional contract for the supply of multiple aluminum hulled passenger ferries. The contract also includes the option to purchase further vessels.
The contract is worth Australian $140 million, about US$108 million.
The ferries will be built in Australia with staggered delivery in 2007 and 2008.
Austal says it cannot release further details "due to a customer confidentiality agreement."
