Bourbon splashes out at Beier
Beier Radio, Belle Chasse (New Orleans), La., has signed a contract with Bourbon Offshore to deliver 36 DP-2 systems for Bourbon vessels to be built in China.
"Bourbon Offshore has made a major commitment to become the leader as a modern offshore support provider," Bier Radio Vice President and General Manager C. Joseph Mouton Jr. said. "They have invested resources in people and technology to build the next-generation offshore vessels, and our systems will help them continue to provide that world-class support."
The Bourbon calls for the installation of the Beier IVCS 2000, an integrated vessel control system (ABS DP-2) and the Beier IVMS 2000, an integrated vessel management system, on 26 AHTS with 80 tons of bollard pull, and on ten economical 1,600 dwt PSVs.
"We are very proud that Bourbon Offshore has chosen Beier Radio to install our dynamic positioning and management systems," Mouton said. "This contract shows the continued respect that our systems have with the marine industry and allows us to share BOURBON'S vision for the development of their offshore operations."
