New high speed freight routes from Boulogne

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the French channel port of Boulogne says that Norwegian company NorFerries plans to order three high speed, strut supported monohulls of BGV International design to operate high speed freight services between Boulogne and Santander, Spain; Boulogne and Drammen, Norway; and Boulogne and Sheerness, Kent.

NorFerries reportedly plans to acquire two C180 BGV's, each 180 m long and able to carry 94 trucks and one C210, of 210 m length and 174 truck capacity. Service speed is said to be in excess of 30 knots.
