TTS in Brazilian agreement
As Brazil's Transpetro tanker building program moves forward, more internationally recognized marine equipment manufacturers are reaching agreements to enable local Brazilian manufacture of their products.
The latest such move to be announced involves Norway's TTS Marine Cranes and its German unit, TTS Kocks. They are to sign a production agreement with BrazilŐs Techlabor Engenharia Equipamentos e Servicos Ltda, Sao Goncalo for the local production of TTS designs covering such equipment as deck cranes, winches, capstans and other deck equipment.
TTS Marine Cranes is a leading design and manufacturer of hose-handling cranes, supplying this equipment for a large number of tankers built in South Korea and China.
TTS Kocks, Bremen, which became part of the TTS Deck Machinery Division last year, designs and manufacturers a wide range of deck machinery including anchoring and mooring equipment.
