Ungar bids for Polish yard
According to Polish press reports, Israeli ship owner Rami Ungar has made an offer to purchase the Stocznia Gdanska shipyard from the Stocznia Gdynia shipyard.
Ungar, whose interests include Ray Car Carriers, is the third bidder for the Gdansk yard. The two others are a consortium of state-owned energy distributor Energa and the state-owned Industrial Development Agency (ARP), and the Stocznia Gdanska Holding.
Warsaw Business Journal reports that Ungar's offer is said to be much higher than the others. It also reports that Ungar says he wants to invest in Stocznia Gdynia.
