Egyptian ferry sinks in Red Sea
A 35-year old Egyptian ferry carrying some 1,400 passengers and crew sank in the Red Sea last night en route from Saudi Arabia to Egypt.
Reports say rescue teams have "picked up dozens of dead bodies" and that some survivors have been brought ashore at Safaga, Egypt, where the vessel was scheduled to have arrived at 2 AM local time (midnight GMT) this morning.
