April 10, 2006 Conferees torpedo Cape Wind
House and Senate conferees have agreed on the Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Act 2006. You can access the conference report here. Among other things, the conferees have an agreement that is bad news for the Cape Wind offshore wind farm planned for Nantucket Sound. It would give Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney--an outspoken Cape Wind opponent--power to veto the project.
