Trinity Yachts launches Mia Elise
Trinity Yachts, LLC has launched the 180 ft (55m) tri-deck motoryacht Mia Elise at its New Orleans shipyard.
This is the largest full displacement steel yacht hull launchedin the U.S. in 70 years.
Designed and built by Trinity Yachts, Mia Elise ushers in "a new era of American yacht building," says Trinity Yachts Chairman Felix S. Sabates, Jr.
"Yacht owners around the world now have a viable, American made, world class alternative to the finest European builds in full-displacement steel hull motoryachts," says Sabates.
"Not only do owners benefit from the present exchange rate by building in America," says Sabates, "but there are no language barriers and logistically Trinity is much more accessible than many shipyards in Europe. We at Trinity, also have a proven track record of building, combining the skill and tradition in a shipyard with over six decades of experience, along with the latest technology in control, navigation and communications."
The 180 ft x 33 ft (55 m x 10 m) Mia Elise is the first of the Trinity displacement series and is powered by two (2) Caterpillar 3512 B marine engines rated at 1,650 hp each at 1,600 rpm and encased in a sound proof engine room.
The yacht will be capable of a maximum speed of 15 knots at trial load and a cruising speed of 14 knots. It will carry approximately 274,500 gallons (104,000 liters) of fuel giving it transatlantic capability and has a fresh water capacity of approximately 6,300 gallons (23,800 liters). The vessel is capable of helicopter operations in the "touch and go" mode for arriving/departing guests or medical evacuations.
Mia Elise can accommodate an owner's party of twelve in six spaciously planned staterooms with en suite baths finished in mahogany.
Each of the guests' staterooms is located below deck. There are three staterooms with queen king size berths, one with twin berths and a full beam VIP cabin with his/her bath. There is also a passenger elevator servicing four decks.
The full beam owners' suite, accessible through the owner's private office, is located forward on the main deck and is complete with his/her closets. There is an elegant sitting area and a luxurious ensuite bath that includes a whirlpool tub and large marble shower.
