Blohm + Voss wins QM2 drydocking
Cunard's Queen Mary 2, is scheduled to arrive in Hamburg, Germany, on November 8 for maintenance repairs at Blohm + Voss Repair GmbH , part of the ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems Repair Group .
The world's largest cruise liner, which was built in 2003, enter the yard's Elbe 17 dry dock for classification work and extensive painting.
The propulsion units, the anchor winches as well as the four stabilisers will also be overhauled.
The ship is scheduled to leave Hamburg on November 15. Because of the tight time table, Blohm + Voss Repair employees recently boarded the cruise liner in Southampton to carry out the necessary preparations for the work.
