October 4, 2005 Island Offshore orders PSV Ulsteinvik, Norway, based Island Offshore Group, in which Edison Chouest Offshore is a partner, has signed a contract with Aker Yards for a UT 776 E platform supply vessel. The contract between Aker Yards and Island Offshore VI K/S is valued at NOK 235 million (about US $35 million). It is for a 93 m x 20 m Rolls-Royce Marine design UT 776 for March 2007 delivery. The hull will be built in Romania and the outfitting yard will be Aker Brevik.
