August 9, 2005 Fincantieri to build ice class cruise ferries for Tallink Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri and Estonian ferry operator Tallink have reached an agreement to build two new generation, high performance, ice-class cruise ferries, one of which is an option. The shipsÕ main features are: 36,000 gross tonnes, 2,000 passengers, 200 cabins, a speed of 29 knots, loading capacity of 2,000 lane meters.
