Conrad Industries wins new contracts

Morgan City, La., headquarterd shipbuilder Conrad Industries, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: CNRD.PK) reports the signing of new contracts that bring its current backlog to approximately $70.3 million compared to $41.0 million at June 30, 2010, $38.3 million at December 31, 2009 and $40.4 million at June 30, 2009.

New contracts include two 297 ft x 54 ft x 12 ft double skin tank barges with 30,000 gross barrel capacity, a 250 ft x 72 ft x 12 ft crane barge, two 88 ft x 35 ft x 10 ft 6 inch inland towboats, and several 120 ft and 140 ft deck and spud barges.

New business added also includes two 245 ft x 48 ft x 12 ft LPG tank barges with approximately 16,000 gross barrel capacity designed for inland waterway operation and two 239 ft x 52 ft x 13 ft LPG offshore tank barges with approximately 17,000 gross barrel capacity.
