MIKE DERBY

Mike Derby, Environmental Champion Region Americas and General Manager, North Atlantic, Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics Americas LLC, will provide the keynote address at Marine Log's Global Greenship 2010 Conference & Expo, scheduled for Sept. 23-24, 2010 at the Washington Marriott in Washington, D.C. Mr. Derby, who has been with WWL Americas for 23 years and heads up the company's environmental efforts in the North Atlantic region, will discuss, "Minimizing the impact of shipping on the environment."

In his current position, Mr. Derby has the opportunity to look at innovative and practical applications of environmental initiatives in the ocean, terminal, and technical services operations of WWL. He also works with several industry groups to support industry-wide environmental change.

"We are very pleased that Mike Derby will be kicking off our conference," said Jane Poterala, Marine Log Conference Director. "Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics has been in the forefront of adopting new technologies and operational techniques that go beyond just complying with today's environmental regulations. That aligns perfectly with the theme of this year's event, Beyond Compliance."
