Aker Philly names Robin Booth Director of Sales and Marketing

Aker Philadelphia Shipyard (Oslo: AKPS) has appointed Robin H. Booth as Director of Sales and Marketing.

Booth will be responsible for the identification of new opportunities to expand the shipyard's order book and also for growing Aker Philadelphia Shipyard's presence in the U.S. maritime community.

Before joining Aker Philadelphia Shipyard, Booth worked for General Dynamics, American Overseas Marine in Quincy, Massachusetts, as Director of Safety, Quality and New Business Development. While there he prepared and presented proposals, negotiated contracts, spearheaded key business development initiatives, and was appointed Program Manager for the operation and maintenance of nine ships. Booth has also worked for Avondale Industries, Inc. in New Orleans, Louisiana and Jered Brown Brothers, Inc. in Brunswick, Georgia.
