Chouest affiliate orders PSV's at STX Europe

Island Offshore, in which Edison Chouest Offshore is a partner, has awarded a new contract to STX Europe for the construction of two Platform Supply Vessels. They are of the same UT 776 CD design as the Island Commander and Island Chieftain delivered from STX Europe earlier this year..

The vessels will be built at STX Europe in Brevik, Norway, with the hulls being built at STX Europe in Romania. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in Q4 2011 and Q1 2012. They will be built to DNV's CLEAN DESIGN class.

The total value of the contracts amounts to approximately NOK 800 million.
