April 30, 2004 Seetours in market for new ship Seetours, the German operation of Carnival Corporation & plc, has been in discussions with three shipyards--including Meyer Werft--about a newbuilding project and will announce further details "in a couple of months," German newspaper Hamburg Abendblatt reports managing director Lars M. Clasen as saying. Clasen was speaking on the occasion of redelivery of the 245 m AIDAblu, the former A''ROSAblu, after a Euros 10 million refurbishment at Blohm + Voss. The ship now has accommodations for 1,676 passengers in 838 cabins and offers such AIDA "club ship" amenities as a 1,300 sq. m fitness center.
