NY Water Taxi orders two cats

Incat Designs - Sydney hasannounced the signing of a contract between Gladding Hearn and New York Water Taxi  fo two Incat Designs 22 m water taxis.

The two vessels are scheduled for delivery in April and June 2005. They will be certified for 149 passengers, with the main cabin seating 99. The upper deck will have 36 seats and standing room for a further 39 passengers.

The vessels are optimized for accessibility for the disabled, with allocated wheelchair spaces, spacious toilet facilities and large doors and passageways throughout.

They are also optimized for bow loading to suit the standard New York dockside infrastructure. Passengers will be able to embark and disembark with direct access between the foredeck and main passenger cabin. The two vessels will also be designed to meet strict performance guidelines, particularly in the areas of wake/wash and interior noise levels.
