$197 million contract for Newport News

Northrup Grumman Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News, Va. is being awarded a $197,088,434 cost-plus-incentive-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-03-C-2116) for the accomplishment of the extended selected restricted availability of the USS Enterprise (CVN-65). This effort shall provide for the accomplishment of alterations to ship systems, and inspection, test, and repair of systems and components to ensure continued safe operation of the ship. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is expected to be completed by June 2005. Contract funds in the amount of $197,088,434 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
