Navy contracts for GD yards

Bath Iron Works Inc., Bath, Maine, is being awarded a $26,662,531 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-04-C-2302) to exercise Option I Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) for USS Momsen (DDG 92), and Option II PSA for USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93). Specific efforts include: engineering and management in support of the PSA; labor and procurement of material to correct government responsible deficiencies and accomplish system upgrades; perform specified PSA work items inclusive of tests and post repair sea trials; and task additional manhours and material in order to complete emergent repairs. Work on Option I will be performed in Everett, Wash., and is expected to be completed by July 2005. Work on Option II will be performed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by April 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Electric Boat Corp., a General Dynamics Company, Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $16,339,099 firm fixed price delivery order under previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00024-04-D-4408) for the Dry-Docking Selected Restricted Availability of USS Dallas (SSN 700). The effort is for maintenance, repair and alterations. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn., and is expected to be completed by April 2005. Contract funds in the amount of $1,500,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
