October 16, 2003 Staten Island Ferry resumes serviceNew York's Staten Island Ferry resumed serice this morning after an incident yesterday in which the Andrew J. Barberi slammed into a pier. Ten passengers were killed.
The National Transportation Safety Board is the lead agency investigating the accident.
