NTSB investigates S/S Norway accident
A boiler room incident aboard NCL's S/S Norway appears to have been an accident, not the result of terrorism.

On May 25, "at approximately 6:30 a.m. while the S/S Norway was at the Port of Miami returning from an Eastern Caribbean cruise," says an NCL statement, there was an incident in the engine room involving one of the boilers. "We are deeply saddened to report the death of four crewmembers. Thirteen crewmembers have been taken to local hospitals."

All 2,135 passengers were safely disembarked. No passengers were injured in the incident.

The National Transportation Safety Board immediately launched a Go-Team to investigate the incident.

Robert Ford, the Investigator-in-Charge, heads the 10-member NTSB team.
