Big "A" frame
Ft. Lauderdale based Resolve Towing and Salvage, Inc., a division of Resolve Marine Group Inc., has announced completion of its newly constructed 400-ton "A" frame vessel. It says the unit, with a 100-foot boom and a lift capacity of 400 tons, is now the largest "A" frame in the Southeastern United States region. The "A" Frame is currently mounted on the Resolve--JO-603, a U.S.-flagged ABS loadline spud barge.
Immediately after being put into service in February 2003, the A-Frame completed its first mission, the removal of the derelict vessel Red Diamond in Northern Florida. The barge and "A" frame will be stationed in the Southeastern U.S. and Caribbean.Ê
