Renaissance Seattle Hotel, Seattle, WANovember 9-10, 2010
FERRIES 2010 will be in session on Tuesday, November 9 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 10 from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel, 515 Madison Street, Seattle, WA 98104. Registration for the conference will take place in the Courtyard Foyer from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Monday, November 8 and again at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, November 9. The dress code for the conference and expo will be business casual.
Conference proceedings: All paid attendees at FERRIES 2010 will receive online access to all available conference presentations. Attendees will be notified via e-mail once the presentations are posted.
Conference registration: The fee for passenger and ferry vessel owners/operators is $495.00 (subject to approval). For all other registrants, the registration fee is $795.00. Shipyard tour: For the first time, the FERRIES Conference & Expo will include a Shipyard Tour at Kvichak Marine, Seattle. The tour is scheduled for November 10. Established in 1981, Kvichak Marine is one of the leading aluminum boatbuilders in the U.S. Its product line includes passenger boats, fireboats, pilot boats, spill response vessels, utility boats and military vessels. Most recently, Kvichak and Nichols Brothers Boat Builders built a series of catamaran ferries for WETA of San Francisco. Advance registration is required and limited to attendees of the conference. Register early as space is limited.
Hotel accommodations The Renaissance Seattle Hotel has allocated a room block for participants at the group rate of $189 per night (single/double). To take advantage of the rate, please call the hotel directly at (800) 546-9184 or (206) 583-0300 and mention group code "Marine Log." These will be held until 30 days prior to the conference; those reserving after that date will depend upon room availability. You will receive room confirmation directly from the hotel.
Cancellations Confirmed registrants who cancel after October 27 are subject to a $225 service charge. Registrants who fail to attend are liable for the entire fee unless they notify Marine Log in writing prior to the conference.
